For the event invitation I decided to great an invite for the music event company called Boiler Room. I chose them as I admire the premises they were formed on, and I enjoy they music, but most importantly, I love the design of their event posters. For my design I wanted to create an event for boiler room that was themed around the concept of a distorted future, which could be interpreted in many ways. The way I portrayed this was to use a mirror in the middle of the invite to reflect the text, a literal and figurative meaning of the term reflection. This mirrored effect also adds a slight distortion to the text. The design juxtaposes black and white to highlight the event’s main attraction points. For the page with the event details, I used many overlaying elements, similar to the Boiler Room event poster style.
